Wooden Looms is more than just a rug gallery; it's a family passion. Founded by two brothers, Sam and Mike, and Mike's wife, Sarah, our story is built on more than a decade of experience and a deep love for the artistry of handmade rugs. We believe that a rug is the soul of a room, and our mission is to help you find the perfect piece that will bring warmth, beauty, and character to your home for generations to come.

    Mike | Restoration & Sourcing Expert

    With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a decade of experience in the rug business, Mike leads our restoration services. He began his journey working with his in-laws before deciding to open Wooden Looms with his wife, Sarah, and brother, Sam.

    Mike’s passion lies in discovering unique, one-of-a-kind designs from overseas and sharing his expertise with clients. He provides expert consultations on cleaning, repair, and how to maintain the value of your rugs for years to come. Away from the gallery, he loves traveling with his family and enjoying food from different cultures.

    Sarah | The Design Heart

    Sarah is the design heart of Wooden Looms, combining over 15 years of business experience with a lifetime of appreciation for handmade rugs that began with her own family. Her personal artistry gives her a unique insight into interior décor, allowing her to guide clients to the perfect rug for their space.

    Happily married to Mike, Sarah is an amazing mom to their three children: Tuline, Celine, and Juline. When she’s not in the gallery, you can find her in the kitchen perfecting her passion for baking. (You have to try her coffee cake!)

    Sam | The Rug Curator

    As a Structural Engineer, Sam knows that every great building starts with a solid foundation. He brings this same philosophy to interior design, believing that every great room starts with the perfect rug. It was this belief that led him to leave engineering behind to pursue his passion for this art form.

    With a decade of experience, Sam excels at understanding a client's needs and applying his diligent, organized approach to find the perfect options. He also manages the website and all things digital, ensuring our online gallery is as beautiful as our physical one.

    An avid explorer, Sam enjoys traveling when he's away from the professional world.
