  • Overcast - Fringe (Edge) Repair

    Fringe wear occurs from improper vacuuming, foot traffic or pets. If left un-repaired, continued damage will occur and can result in losing more knots.

Exceeded all my expectations, true craftsmanship! I have a 4 x 17 antique Heriz / Bakshaish runner that was in rough shape. It had been poorly repaired in the past and had cuts, unraveling, and overall damage.

Mike was able to rebuild worn foundation, reinforce weak ends to prevent unraveling, and even did some hand-knotting to bring this rug back to life.

His repair was a true work of art that took some time but sooo worth it! This piece now has many many more years!

Incredibly happy with my rug repair! My puppy chewed up the side of my rug and I was looking for a shop that could do edge repair on a handwoven wool rug. I reached out to Wooden Looms by text and they replied extremely quickly and were even able to quote me over text. When I brought my rug in Mike and Sam were even able to give me a few different options for repair with quotes that were more budget friendly for me. I dropped my rug off and it was ready for pick up exactly when they said it would be. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! They were able to salvage way more of the rug than I thought would be possible and it looks brand new. I would go back again (hopefully to buy a rug next time) and I would trust Mike and Sam to with my rug repair any day. Thanks guys!!!
